🏠Property Assistant — Sales Progression, Marketing & Office Support🏠
Part-time: 18–24 hours per week, depending on the candidate
Includes working every other Saturday
Full training provided
George Edwards is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Property Assistant to join our Measham team.
This is a varied part-time role supporting the day-to-day running of a busy estate agency. The role will include sales progression, office support, client communication, appointment booking, property marketing and social media, with some support across lettings when required.
Social media and marketing will be an important part of the role, but this is first and foremost an estate agency support role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is well organised, communicates clearly, and is happy getting involved across different areas of the business.
At George Edwards, we believe buying, selling and letting property is about more than paperwork and transactions. It is about people, homes, families, futures and fresh starts. We take pride in guiding clients properly, communicating clearly, and delivering a service that feels personal, professional and caring.
**The Role**
This role is focused on helping the team deliver a smooth, professional service across sales, marketing and general office support.
A key part of the role will be sales progression, helping agreed sales move from offer accepted through to exchange and completion. You will help keep communication flowing between buyers, sellers, solicitors, mortgage brokers, surveyors and the George Edwards team.
You will also support the wider office by answering calls, booking appointments, updating systems, helping with enquiries and making sure clients and applicants receive clear, helpful communication.
Marketing and social media will also form part of the role. This may include helping with property posts, local content, short videos, listing updates, team updates and general brand-building activity. It is an important part of the position, but it will sit alongside the wider sales and office support responsibilities.
The role will also include some lettings support when needed, including helping with inspections, viewings, applicant enquiries and general lettings administration.
**Key Responsibilities**
You will be involved in:
-Sales progression support from offer accepted through to exchange and completion
-Liaising with buyers, sellers, solicitors, mortgage brokers and surveyors
-Chasing updates and keeping clients informed
-Updating CRM notes, sales records and progression milestones
-Answering calls and handling general enquiries
-Booking valuations, viewings, inspections and appointments
-Supporting applicants, vendors, landlords and tenants with clear communication
-Helping maintain accurate property and client records
-Assisting with property descriptions, listing updates and basic marketing tasks
-Helping create, organise and schedule social media content
-Supporting property marketing across Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms
-Creating simple photos, videos, reels, stories and local content when required
-Supporting occasional lettings viewings and property inspections
-Helping with lettings enquiries and applicant communication when needed
-Helping maintain a warm, organised and professional office environment
-Marketing & Social Media
Marketing and social media are important parts of this role, but not the whole role.
We are looking for someone who can help George Edwards stay visible, professional and engaging online while also supporting the day-to-day work of the agency.
This could include:
-Property spotlights
-New listings
-Let agreed / sold subject to contract updates
-Local area content
-Behind-the-scenes team posts
-Helpful tips for sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants
-Short-form video and reels
-Community and charity updates
You do not need to be a professional marketer, but you should be comfortable using social media, spotting content opportunities and helping the team bring ideas to life.
**What We Are Looking For**
The right person will be:
-Friendly, confident and professional
-Organised, reliable and detail-focused
-A clear communicator by phone, email and in person
-Comfortable speaking with people and providing helpful customer service
-Calm under pressure, especially when several things are happening at once
-Able to chase progress without being pushy
-Comfortable helping with marketing and social media content
-Interested in property, people and the local community
-Happy supporting occasional lettings tasks such as inspections and viewings
-Proactive and willing to support the wider team
-Able to work every other Saturday
Previous estate agency experience is not essential, and full training will be provided. Experience in customer service, administration, sales, marketing or social media would be helpful, but the right attitude, organisation and communication skills are more important.
**Hours, Pay & Benefits**
This is a part-time role based in Measham, working 18–24 hours per week, depending on the successful candidate.
The role includes working every other Saturday.
The exact working pattern can be discussed, but we need someone who can support the team during key office hours and provide reliable cover on alternate Saturdays.
Benefits include:
£13.48 per hour
Commission opportunities available
Company pension scheme with 5% employer contribution for qualifying employees
Paid volunteering days
Holiday entitlement pro rata
Full training and ongoing support
Opportunity to gain experience across sales progression, property marketing, client care, occasional lettings support and estate agency operations
Friendly, values-led team culture
