Second development site granted this week 🥳

Reserved matters approval has been granted for two exceptional new dwellings on a former farmyard, which has seen various uses since ceasing agricultural operations.

The client wished to retain a traditional farmstead appearance, utilising a mixed materials palette to provide articulation to the principal elevations.

We are pleased to have been instructed to provide both architectural and planning advice on such a special project. It’s fantastic to see this job over the line, and we look forward to seeing our client bring their dreams to life.

The site is located within the built-up area of Sherston Conservation Area. It currently comprises a dwelling and an existing builders’ yard, making it a previously developed brownfield site.

Thank you so much if you joined us to follow our scarecrow trail on the weekend just gone! We do think it was one of the best we’ve ever held - in terms of both scarecrow creativity and the atmosphere around the village was fantastic!! 🥰🥰🥰

Our beautiful, funny, hardworking volunteers have had a little bit of well earned rest Monday, and are now busy marking submitted sheets this evening.
We will contact trail sheet winners tomorrow and publish answers later this week on this page. (Raffle prize winners were contacted Sunday)

May we take this opportunity to thank all of our scarecrow makers, scarecrow hosts, visitors, Lacock Villagers, attending supporting businesses, prize donators, scarecrow sponsors and of course every single volunteer without whom we could not run such a brilliant weekend 💖💖 to raise funds for our local village primary Lacock C of E Primary School.

This year, we were proud to be one of the sponsors of the Lacock Scarecrow Trail. It was incredibly busy first thing on Sunday morning, and it was fantastic to see so many people taking part. We all had a great morning and thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a wonderful community event!
