28 Victoria St. | Episode 3: The Hallway & Bathroom
In Episode 3 of our 28 Victoria Street series, Elliott takes us through the hallway and main bathroom of Apartment 2, highlighting some of the practical details and design decisions that have gone into the space.
Starting in the hallway, one of the biggest changes we’ve made across our newer developments is moving away from gas completely. The apartments at 28 Victoria Street are fully electric, helping us make our properties more environmentally conscious while also keeping things simpler for our tenants with one less utility to manage.
Apartment 2 also benefits from some additional hallway storage, alongside a fully fitted fire alarm and sprinkler system supplied and installed by an important feature that might not be the most exciting part of a development, but is one of the most important.
Then into the bathroom… 👀
We wanted this space to feel a little different from a standard rental bathroom. By introducing a separate en-suite elsewhere in the apartment, we were able to remove the need for a shower in the main bathroom and make the freestanding bath the main feature instead.
We’ve paired it with wall-integrated taps, an anthracite heated towel rail, an illuminated mirror and a recessed shelf that will eventually have its own lighting, perfect for adding those finishing touches.
We’ve also continued the marble theme from the kitchen into the bathroom with these larger-format marble-effect tiles supplied by . It’s a different look from the smaller tiles we’d usually use, but one that gives the room a much cleaner, more premium finish.
It’s these little decisions throughout a development that can completely change how the finished property feels.
Next up: the bedrooms 👀
