A question we get asked about quite regularly is contracts, so we would like to give our opinion on them 📑
As a rule of thumb, there is still a huge percentage of estate agents that are still giving owners listing contracts to sign, which gives them 12, 14, 18 weeks or however many months to sell their property for them.
Here at Haus Match however we do not give our sellers contracts to sign, as we believe it is a contract to not be pro-active. As the agent acting on behalf of our sellers, we make every property our priority and give it 110% effort all the time to get the house sold.
If you are selling your home, it is so important to make sure you go with the right agent. There is a few factors that of course will play a part in who you decide to choose to sell your home for you. There’s things like price (0.5% 🤌🏻), how much you trust them, experience and so on. But it is so important to listen to how the agent speaks, do they sound confident about selling your house? Do they just say yes and agree with everything you say? If they are just agreeing with everything you say, challenge them.
But most of all be careful with those contracts because if you don’t see the results you would like to see then you are tied down and nobody wants to feel trapped. Your home selling journey shouldn’t feel like a chore, it should be stress free and taken care of by your agent.
