A few days ago, we had a call from a gentleman who had told us that someone had been in to lay natural stone in his garden and had ripped him off £1200.
When the team had gone over to check it out it was very clear that the stone was laid on a dry sand bed and it had not even been primed. They had then gone over it with concrete to try stick all the tiles together and stained every single slab. This patio was non salvageable, not even in the slightest. No amount of work that our team could do would ever be able to make that look brand new again.
The man was devastated, he didn’t know what to do with himself, he couldn’t stop thinking about some cowboy coming in and taking £1200 and doing a job not even worth 10% of the price he payed.
So our team, in our free time, on a day that the team should be at home relaxing with family and refreshing themselves ready for another busy week ahead, we decided to fix this to make the gentleman’s faith in humanity be restored. We told him we won’t charge you crazy amounts, just a donation towards the time and diesel. £200 he gave us. Out of his own kindness and generosity! We then in 1 day done more work than the cowboy builder done in a week! Let me tell you, it was to a 10x higher standard than what was laid before.
We have never and will never agree with cowboy builders/traders.

But after this, the gentleman was over the moon and wanted to book us in for the rest of his work that he wants and needs doing.
