For many years we have been asking the Council to create a crossing point on the A642, heading to Middlestown. This is in Rural Ward and affects those whose children go to school or use businesses in Horbury and South Ossett Ward.

After a recent review requested jointly by the Labour Councillor in Rural Ward – Jordan Bryan, with Andy Nicholls, the Candidate for next May’s elections for a review has concluded that a crossing should be installed. The work is planned for the next financial year and should make a massive difference for pedestrians in this area.
