We’re officially Best New Home Snagging Company 2026 – South East England in the Build Real Estate & Property Awards!

We spend a lot of our time pointing out things that aren’t quite right… so it’s lovely to have someone point out something we’re getting right. 😏

A huge thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their new home, recommended us, left us a review or sent friends and family our way. It genuinely means a lot.

Apparently all that crawling through lofts, squeezing under baths and getting far too excited about wonky walls is paying off. 😂🔍

Well, that’s summer dealt with. ☀️➡️🌧️

The good news? The British weather has kindly joined the snagging team.

A decent spell of rain can reveal all sorts — leaking windows and doors, overflowing guttering, poor drainage and water getting into places it really shouldn’t.

So while everyone else is looking out of the window and complaining about the weather, our inspectors are looking around thinking…

Your new kitchen really shouldn’t come with its own water feature. 💦😬

This leaking pipe was spotted underneath the sink — tucked away out of sight, but very capable of causing problems if left there.

A small, steady leak can quickly mean swollen units, damaged flooring, damp and mould… all from something that could easily go unnoticed until the damage is done.

Another reminder that some of the most important snags aren’t the ones you can see at first glance (and the reason we always run the water when we snag a home). 👀🔍

Now the snaglings are back at school… it’s finally time to tackle THAT to-do list. 🎒✅

You know the one. The jobs you’ve been meaning to get around to all summer, but somehow never quite happened.

If booking a snagging inspection for your new-build home is still sitting somewhere on that list, consider this your reminder. 👀🏡

While the kids are busy learning their ABCs, we’ll be checking the walls are straight, the pipes aren’t leaking and everything in your new home is exactly as it should be. 🔍

One job ticked off. Now, what else has been sitting on that list since July? 😬

If you’re finding puddles next to the pipework in this heat… it’s probably not the weather. 💧😅

This one was hiding underneath a bath, where a leaking pipe had already started leaving water where it definitely shouldn’t be.

Left unchecked, even a small leak can cause serious damage — damp, mould, damaged flooring and ceilings, and a much bigger repair bill later on.

Exactly the kind of snag you want finding before it has chance to become a much bigger problem. 👀🔍

😳 That moment when a snag goes from “that’s not quite right…” to “okay, that could actually be dangerous.”

A burnt electrical wire definitely isn’t one to add to the 'we’ll sort it later' list. ⚡

Some snags are cosmetic. Others can pose a genuine safety risk — which is exactly why a thorough inspection of your new home matters.

Better spotted during a snagging inspection than discovered the hard way later.

Unfortunately, mould-covered skirting boards weren’t on the new-build extras list. 😬

This one needs a closer look to find out whether it’s surface mould that can be treated, or whether moisture has got into the skirting boards and they need replacing.

Not really the surprise you want to find in your brand-new home. You’ve already got enough to deal with when moving, without adding “find out why the kitchen is growing mould” to the list.

But this is exactly why we get into all the awkward little spaces during a snagging inspection. 👀🔍

Because it’s often the hidden issues that turn into the biggest headaches later on.
