We’re currently carrying out essential repairs to the slipway as part of ongoing work to help preserve the site for the future.

We’re sorry for any temporary inconvenience while these works are underway, and we really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.

This is important work to ensure the slipway is properly maintained and does not deteriorate further over time. The works are expected to be completed by the end of June, with the area restored as it was.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support, we’re always open to constructive feedback and are doing our best to minimise any disruption while the work takes place ❤️

If you have any concerns, please feel free to come and speak to our site manager, we’re always happy to help.

You may have seen us on site over the past week carrying out some prep work.

This week, we’ll be undertaking essential repairs to the slipway and external walls to help preserve the site for years to come.

For safety reasons, the area will be closed whilst these works are underway, and we kindly ask visitors to avoid popping by during this time.

Thank you for bearing with us whilst the work is carried out. We know how much this place means to so many people, and we’ll reopen access as soon as it’s safe to do so.

You may have seen us on site recently, we’ve been carrying out some essential repairs to the slipway using sympathetic conservation materials and techniques.

We’ve also been clearing back some of the brambles around the property to help tidy things up and allow better access.

As always, thank you for all the support and interest. We will keep you updated as things progress.

We were on site recently with an ecology team carrying out checks around the boathouse and the surrounding area. This is to make sure any work we undertake to preserve the site is done with care and consideration for local wildlife.

Last week we were on site assessing the slipway and the stonework around the boathouse. This will help us plan essential works to the slipway itself and the repointing of the stonework.

There’s no set date for these works yet, but they will begin once the weather improves.

Following the recent storm, there was some minor damage to the concrete underneath the boathouse doors.

We’ve since been down to carry out the necessary repairs and make everything secure again.

A big thank you to Bryn for letting us know, and to everyone who keeps an eye on things for us. We really appreciate the community looking out for this special place ❤️

It was so lovely to meet so many of you at Monday’s gathering. We really enjoyed hearing your memories, chatting about the boathouse, and getting to know some new faces too.
