👋🏼 It's time to say goodbye👋🏼

After reaching our 10 year milestone of delivering a top quality service, we have taken the HUGE decision to close our doors at the end of the month. But as one door closes another opens and we have decided to make way for new opportunities and further prospects elsewhere, taking the knowledge and experience gained with us from the last decade.

We would like to thank all our clients past and present, once again, in supporting us on our journey and making this job very fulfilling and worthwhile 🙏🏼

We are very proud to have reached a HUGE milestone here at TP EPC - We are a whole decade old!! 😲 🎉🎆🍾🥂

Having unfortunately started from a traumatic and challenging time of adversity, we have sustained and grown into the 5 star ⭐ service that is still going strong a whole 10 years later! We never thought when we started we would be here today with the continued support from our loyal clients. Thank you to everyone who has used us and recommended us over the years 🙏🏼🫶🏼

HOW MUCH GLAZING DOES YOUR PROPERTY HAVE?🪟

RdSAP 10 UPDATES- WINDOW REQUIREMENTS...

In the new EPC RdSAP 10 assessments, assessors will be required to collect multiple data on every window in your property to include the size of a window, type and age of glazing, orientation and location in the building. All windows are to be measured, hence one of reasons why an assessment will take longer onsite and be more expensive to produce. The width and height of a window is entered individually and the software will calculate U Values accordingly.📏

A new aspect of the assessment will be the introduction of Window Shutters, which will now be included within an EPC and further data will need to be collected around the insulative qualities of these additions.

EPC RDSAP 10 UPDATES - ENHANCING ASSESSMENT ACCURACY

Significant updates to energy assessment procedures are on the horizon, with the introduction of RdSAP version 10 (EPC Software) in Summer 2024, and the proposed roll out of the Home Energy Model alongside the Future Homes Standard in 2025. These changes are not just procedural but represent a shift towards more sustainable living practises and the UK's ambitious Net Zero targets.

IMPACT ON LANDLORDS, VENDORS AND AGENTS

An increase in the cost of EPC production is anticipated due to extended on-site requirements. Traditionally, an EPC assessment would take between 45-60 minutes. With the introduction of more thorough evaluation requirements, we now expect this to extend by an additional 20-30 minutes per property. This represents a substantial increase in time spent on-site which regrettably will result in higher costs for EPC assessments. If any assessor does not suggest a price adjustment, it's essential to question their rationale. Further inaccuracies in EPCs could significantly affect business, making it crucial to ensure that assessments are both accurate and reflective of the latest standards.
