⚠️ Important Update for Welsh Landlords ⚠️
From 1st June 2026, new changes under the Renters’ Rights Act will come into effect in Wales.
These changes mean landlords will need to ensure:
βœ”οΈ New occupation contracts include the updated clauses from 1st June 2026
βœ”οΈ Existing tenants receive written amendments to their contracts by 14th June 2026
The new legislation focuses on preventing discrimination against tenants with children or those receiving benefits, meaning some existing contract terms may no longer be enforceable.
