Drums on the prom, Go West at The Platform and a farewell weekend at the Winter Gardens. Here's what's on in Morecambe from Thursday 24th to Wednesday 30th September.

On Thursday, 911 bring their 30th Anniversary Tour to The Platform - Morecambe from 7pm.

Morecambe Festival Market is open on Central Drive from 9am to 5pm on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.

On Friday, The Platform - Morecambe hosts An Intimate Evening With Peter Cox of Go West.

Saturday is the big one. Bay DrumFest takes over the Promenade from 1pm, celebrating 10 years of Samba Espirito with 11 drumming bands, stilt walkers and dancers performing along a Drum Trail from the Stone Jetty to the RNLI Station. It's free, and it ends with a parade at 6.45pm from the RNLI Station back to Harry’s Bar. We're proud to be one of the event's sponsors.

Later on Saturday, Guns 2 Roses - Guns N' Roses Tribute Band play The Platform - Morecambe from 7pm.

Saturday and Sunday are also your last chance to visit Morecambe Winter Gardens this year before it closes for winter, reopening at Easter.

All week, REEL Cinema Morecambe is showing the latest films, and our pubs and bars have live music, karaoke and quizzes.

The Morecambe BID Community Market returns on Saturday 22nd August.

From 10am until 4pm, stalls will fill Market Street, Euston Road, New Town Square and Victoria Street, bringing together the best independent traders from across Lancashire and Cumbria.

Expect artisan cheeses, chutneys, jams and preserves, farm-fresh and deli goods, handmade crafts, seasonal gifts and homewares, hot street food and seasonal treats, artists and painters, and jewellery and skincare.

The market runs monthly, but each date is a one-day event, so don't miss it.

Come along, support independent traders, and enjoy the buzz of Morecambe town centre.
