Its a Wrap - well almost.
Our latest renovation project here in Sleaford, Lincolnshire is almost complete.
A few finishing touches, and I will be handing over the keys to the appointed estate agent

Target 🎯
Finish the house by Sunday evening 🤔
Last big job.
A simple job: dismantling the old shower,shower panels and retile.

Essential to get the first run of the first tiles level. Not so easy, as whoever fitted the shower tray couldn't be bothered to level it up (his spirit level must have had a lazy bubble 🤪)

Will get there......, I promise

I hesitated until the end before tackling the shower area.
Even though the pattern was still a marble effect, the "one who makes the decisions" 😉 wanted it to tile like the rest of the bathroom.
She is right, of course
No turning back now....... tiling it is...

Carpets have now (as from yesterday) been fitted throughout the house.
I requested an 8mm quality underlay, as the carpet pile is already lush.
They supplied a 10mm underlay at no extra cost.
It's so bouncy, you could sleep on it 😁

This is the final phase of the property renovation, and I feel a little sad, as I have put my all into this project and have come to like Sleaford and its people.

Today, until Sunday, I will be measuring and fitting the porcelain bathroom floor tiles and then fitting the bathroom furniture.

Estate agents coming on Monday and Wednesday to value the property 🤞

I appologise for my followers who are interested in my updates.
On the surface, progress seems to be slow, but like an iceberg there is a lot going on subsurface.

Taking a break to recharge over Xmas and New Year.
Work commencing on the 6th of Jan, and my goal is that all the work will be completed, at the latest by the 16th.

Rome wasn't built in a day, neither is our Sleaford project, but ..... built it will be 😁

Nobody is interested in the behind-the-scenes work 😱 - the measuring, the planning, that is the dull stuff but needs doing.

Oct 26th Progress.
All walls now skimmed.

I still have no heating in the house (I am living here while the work is being carried out) Brrrr

Update: As of November 1st, the house is now cosy. :-)

All I need now is for the Electritians' 2nd fix, and I will also have more light here
