🌿 A HUGE THANK YOU… & A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US 🌿
Firstly, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to the vast majority of our wonderful guests who have stayed with us over the summer holidays and treated our lodges with care and respect. As most of you are aware this is our busiest time of year ❤️
We have been incredibly lucky to be back-to-back in all three of our lodges throughout the summer, and we really do appreciate every single booking, recommendation, lovely message and review. Seeing our lodges enjoyed by so many families, couples and their four-legged friends makes all the hard work worthwhile. 🏡🐾
Unfortunately, after a small number of stays this summer, we have had to introduce and reinforce a few rules to protect our lodges for everyone who visits after you.
🚭 SMOKING, CANNABIS & DRUGS
All three of our lodges are strictly NO SMOKING properties. We provide metal plant pots for cigarette ends, which must be used and emptied responsibly.
The recreational use or possession of cannabis and the use or possession of any other illegal drugs is strictly prohibited inside the lodge, on the decking and within the immediate lodge area.
We fully respect that some guests may have legally prescribed cannabis-based medication. Guests are permitted to possess and use medication that has been lawfully prescribed to them, in accordance with their prescription. We kindly ask guests to contact us prior to their stay so that suitable arrangements can be discussed.
Legally prescribed cannabis medication itself will not result in the loss of your deposit or removal from the property, provided it is being possessed and administered lawfully and our no-smoking/property rules are followed.
The majority of our guests are families with children, and the smell of cannabis can linger and be extremely difficult to remove. Please think of the guests arriving after you and help us ensure that every lodge is clean, fresh and welcoming for everyone.
🐾 A REMINDER FOR OUR DOG-FRIENDLY GUESTS
We absolutely LOVE dogs and are very proud to be dog friendly. We completely understand that the occasional accidents can happen, especially when pets are somewhere unfamiliar.
However, dogs must not be left unattended in the lodge at any time.
Unfortunately, we have recently had a stay where dogs have urinated extensively throughout the lodge, causing major cleaning issues, additional costs and disruption for ourselves and mainly the guests arriving afterwards.
If your dog does have an accident, please clean it up immediately and let us know. We would much rather be made aware so that the area can be properly cleaned than discover it after checkout.
📩 PLEASE READ YOUR BOOKING INFORMATION
These updated rules will be included in your arrival email and within our Terms & Conditions, which can be found at the bottom of every email we send.
By booking and staying with us, guests are agreeing to these terms, so please take a few moments to read them before your stay.
We don’t like having to make posts like this, particularly when the overwhelming majority of our guests are fantastic and leave our lodges beautifully. Unfortunately, a small number of incidents can create a huge amount of additional work and expense, and we have to protect our lodges and make sure they’re clean, safe and ready for every guest.
❤️ Thank you again to everyone who has stayed with us this summer, looked after our lodges as if they were their own and supported our little business. We really do appreciate you.
