We're proud to announce our sponsorship of the IN4 Group MEGA Hub programme, supporting the next generation of digital, cyber and technology talent across Lancashire.

As part of our involvement, Compliance Administrator Georgia Strutz recently attended a MEGA Day at Nelson and Colne College, where students took part in a range of engaging, hands-on activities designed to develop their digital skills and inspire future careers in technology.

The day included:
šŸ¤– Coding through LEGO to create interactive robots
šŸŽØ AI-powered image creation sessions
šŸ” A team cyber challenge, decoding sequences to uncover clues

It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm, creativity and problem-solving skills on display throughout the day.

At Barnfield Construction, we're committed to supporting initiatives that help young people develop the skills, confidence and opportunities needed for the future workforce. We look forward to working with IN4 Group and supporting more inspiring events through the MEGA Hub programme.

🚁 Progress from above at our Kerakoll UK project in Preston.

Our latest drone footage showcases the rapid transformation taking place at APTUS, where Barnfield Construction is delivering a state-of-the-art manufacturing, warehouse and distribution facility for Kerakoll UK. The £20.3m development will provide almost 12,000m² of high-quality industrial and office space, supporting Kerakoll's continued growth across the UK and Northern Europe.

Located adjacent to Junction 31A of the M6, the facility includes a bespoke warehouse, high-bay storage, three-storey office building and associated infrastructure works, all designed to support future expansion and sustainable operations.

Recent milestones include completion of the building envelope, with windows, doors, wall cladding and rooftop solar panels now installed as the project continues on programme towards handover in 2026.

Great progress by all teams involved. šŸ‘

One project that stands out across Barnfield’s 50-year history is Weaver’s Triangle in Burnley.

A regeneration scheme that transformed historic mill buildings into homes, student accommodation and part of what is now UCLan Burnley.

Even King Charles took a keen interest in the project — including a memorable debate over cladding panels!

A reminder that regeneration can shape communities for generations.

We're pleased to announce that works have now commenced on Haydock 92, delivered in partnership with Fieldstone Development Partners.

This marks the beginning of an exciting new project, and we're looking forward to bringing this development to life over the coming months.

Take a look at the latest drone footage for a first glimpse of the site as construction gets underway.

Watch this space for regular progress updates as the project starts to take shape.

Buildings are never just buildings.

They create homes.
Jobs.
Opportunity.

They create places where communities grow and thrive.

Regeneration has been at the heart of Barnfield for decades — and remains central to our future.

Barnfield has never been about one or two people.

It has always been about teams pulling together, solving problems, supporting each other and getting the job done.

From site teams and apprentices to office staff and long-term partners — every person has helped shape the story.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.

Before company cars…

there was the JCB 3C.

Tim’s main transport to and from work in the early days of Barnfield!

Not exactly luxury… but it got the job done.

Different times.

Some people joined Barnfield as apprentices…

and went on to lead major projects across the country.

The loyalty, friendships and camaraderie built over the last 50 years are what make Barnfield truly special.

This anniversary is about celebrating the people behind the projects.

Ever wondered where the name Barnfield came from?

ā€œBarnā€ because Tim lived in Barnoldswick.
ā€œFieldā€ because Chris lived in Brierfield.

Simple as that.

50 years later, the name still represents hard work, partnership and community.
