🍂 Winter opening hours begin Monday 21 September 🍂

As the seasons change, so do our opening hours.

From Monday 21 September, our winter opening hours will be:
🏡 Visitor Centre
•Weekdays: 10am to 3pm
• Weekends & school holidays: 10am to 4pm
🚗 Car Parks •
Open daily: 10am to 4pm

Don't worry if you're still enjoying the forest after 4pm. You can exit the car park at any time after closing.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sherwood Forest this autumn and winter, as the ancient oaks put on their spectacular seasonal colours. 🍁

Occasionally, guests ask me about the construction of the lodge so every once in a while I post photo’s of the build from start to finish, for anyone who may be remotely interested. The lodge was a self build project and although designed primarily by my late husband, its construction was a joint enterprise with occasional help from a builder friend.

The lodge was built in what was, at the time, the bottom corner of our garden. We fenced it all off, sunk the lodge into the ground and planted lots of trees and shrubs on the bank between the two properties to create the private, secluded space that it is today.

Notts Maze is just over a 15 minute drive from the lodge, straight down the A614. It also hosts a variety of other activities including laser tag, archery, axe throwing & more.

Notts Maze is returning HOME!

We are so pleased to announce that Notts Maze will be returning to Lime Lane, Arnold for the 2026 season!

After plenty of hard work behind the scenes, we're thrilled to be bringing the maze back to our Arnold site.

For 2026, we'll be operating a little differently. Under the permitted development rules that apply to our site, we'll be running for only 28 days this season, and we're determined to make those 28 days bigger and better than ever!

We're delighted to announce the return of:
• Our aMAZEing 12-acre corn maze (August and October dates)
• Torch Nights (August and October dates)
• Cinema Night at Stockings Farm
• The Labyrinth Scare Maze
• Our Trick or Treat Halloween Maze

We know so many of you have been waiting for this announcement, and we can't wait to welcome you all back to Lime Lane for what promises to be our biggest and best season yet.

Tickets are LIVE NOW! Dates have been released, so don't wait—book yours today before they sell out. With just 28 event days this year, availability is limited and some sessions are expected to sell quickly.

Cresswell Craggs is around a 25 minute drive (15 miles) from the lodge but well worth a visit.

We're open every day this Bank Holiday weekend!

Whether you're wanting to take a leisurely stroll, walk the dog or head into the caves, we're open and looking forward to seeing everyone.
