Whilst I'm NOT a professional builder, plumber or electrician, I can help with pretty much any DIY project you have. Whether it's

because of a lack of time, not having the right tools or you just feel you don't have a sufficient skill set to get on with a job, I'm here to help. No job is too small. Over the years, I have got involved with the detail when undertaking any DIY job, from talking to tradesmen, asking if I can involved, getting loads of hits and tips on how to tackle a project, from plasterers to joiners/carpenters to electricians and plumbers. If they don't know, I'll do the research until I have the answer. So, if those shelves have been sat there for a while waiting to go up, give me a call. If that flat pack is still in the box, call me. If your garden is getting a little out of control and you just don't have the time, I'm at the end of the phone. In fact, if you have any DIY needs and just need it sorting, I'm happy to come round and have a look. If it's something I can't help with, I've been in contact with many good tradesmen in Newark and the surrounding area that'll I'll more than likely know someone I can trust to pass you on to. From electricians to roofers, plumbers to builders, joiners to aerial and satellite dish installers, they've all helped me on my current renovation where I wasn't qualified. I can also quote if you have a bespoke project you would love to have in your home. I've found many a time that, no matter how hard I look, I just can't find a bookcase that neatly fills the gap I have for it, so I've made my own. Or how about a media wall for that large TV you want mounting but wouldn't know where to start? Again, give me a call and I can work through ideas with you to flesh out a great look for your home. I can even set up your TV if it needs tuning in, setting it up to the internet or integrating new soundbars etc. My rates are extremely competitive so call, text or email for a quote.

Remember that awkward 90^ corner between 2 bookcases. (Photo below if not). Well, I tastefully filled it in with a living shelf idea. The 8 foot branch was found on one of my dog walks so I took home, stripped down the bark and let it dry out for a few months, before sanding and applying a dye to it. The shelves were cut from a board that warped on me so, all in all, an inexpensive solution.

(Inspired from the wolf ornament on the top shelf. It fits in rather nicely, I think)

Finally managed to complete the new cabinet for the TV. Really pleased at how this turned out. A lot of manual hours on this but worth it when compared to what you could pay for a similar product from a high end store. (Something close to £1000).
If something like this is of interest, I can work with you on your own bespoke design that takes into account your own devices.
This is 1700mm wide with a sliding shelf for the soundbar when the up firing speakers are needed for cinema sound.

It’s been a while but I’ve been ripping a garden apart and putting it back together again.
All the materials were there, they were just in the wrong place, from bricks to decorative stone, soil to hardcore, all were moved different locations.
Talking of soil and hardcore, there was 2 tonne of hardcore removed and 10 tonne of soil taken away. Hardcore down the tip and the soil advertised and removed by a kindly buyer and his trailer.
The only expenses were £1200 for the shed, £300 for the new turf, with about £100 for sand and concrete for the mortar.
All that’s needed is the plants, shrubs and bushes but as the growing season is nearly over, that’ll be next spring.

Sometimes, things just go wrong. Take this board I glued up. Same wood, same technique, same storage as all the other boards for the tv cabinets. This one decided to warp.

Remember these? Well, I’ve finally got the bookcases finished and up. (So much going on in my life atm. I don’t think I’ve ever been busier). Not a completed project yet as I still have the tv cabinets to do but really happy with how these look. The empty bookcase is the look I’ve gone for across all the sizes. And yes, I still intend to beautify the corner of the two bookcases sitting together.
