📢 WE’RE HIRING – PART-TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT 📢

📍 JMC Waste Disposal – Newcastle upon Tyne
☎️ Office / Telephone Based

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a friendly and confident Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our busy team at JMC Waste Disposal. 💙♻️

You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our customers, helping them choose the right waste service and getting their jobs booked in.

Your role will include:

☎️ Answering incoming customer calls
📅 Booking skip hire and waste collection jobs
🚛 Arranging deliveries, collections and exchanges
💬 Responding to customer enquiries
💷 Providing prices and basic service information
📧 Dealing with emails and online enquiries
💻 Accurately entering customer and job details onto our system
🤝 Providing friendly, professional customer service
📞 Liaising with our drivers and office team when required

What we’re looking for:

⭐ Confident and professional telephone manner
⭐ Friendly and approachable
⭐ Good communication skills
⭐ Comfortable using computers and booking systems
⭐ Organised with good attention to detail
⭐ Able to work well in a busy, fast-paced office
⭐ Previous customer service or telephone experience preferred

♻️ Previous experience in the waste industry is NOT essential — full training on our services, skip sizes and booking processes will be provided.

🕒 Part-time position – hours to be discussed
💷 Pay dependent on experience

We’re looking for an experienced Administrator / Bookkeeper to join the JMC team! 💙♻️

This is an important role within our busy office, and we need someone who is organised, reliable, confident with accounts and able to hit the ground running.

⭐ XERO EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL ⭐

The role will include:
💰 Bank reconciliations
🧾 Sales & supplier invoices
💻 Day-to-day bookkeeping on Xero
📞 Credit control & chasing payments
💳 Allocating customer payments
📊 Keeping customer & supplier accounts accurate
📁 Preparing accounts information for our accountant
☎️ General office administration

Previous bookkeeping/accounts experience is essential.

Experience within waste, transport or construction would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

💷 Competitive pay – dependent on experience

•Driving Roll-on Roll-off wagons and Skip wagons
•Working as part of a friendly and hardworking team
•Serving local customers with waste collection and disposal

Job Details:
• Full-time position
• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Overtime available
• Good rates of pay

Requirements:
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Experience with skips or RoRo wagons preferred but not essential
• Reliable with a good work ethic
