Empty Chairs is a community-led initiative that helps tackle loneliness by creating relaxed, low-pressure spaces where people can connect over a cuppa and conversation. There is no agenda, no need to book, and no expectation to stay for any set amount of time – simply come along and join us.

Today the government have made announcements about changes being proposed to the home buying process.

One of the main themes is earlier preparation, greater transparency, and increased security in transactions, with more information potentially available before a property is even marketed.

In simple terms, that could mean:

Key information prepared earlier in the process
Buyers seeing more detail before making an offer
Greater commitment earlier in the transaction to reduce fall-throughs
Fewer surprises later on in the process

The aim is to reduce uncertainty and make the whole process more predictable from the start.

In theory, it’s a move towards a smoother, more secure and more transparent way of moving home.
