A 20-minute flat walk from the cottage, glassy water after the bigger boats were lifted out on Saturday, and sea swimmers down at the slipway.

I love leaving welcome treats for guests at Rocklea, so it was such a lovely surprise to walk in and find a gorgeous thank-you card, chocolates and a beautiful scented candle left for me.

Reading that my guests enjoyed slow days by the sea and were even lucky enough to spot dolphins right by the house truly made my week. Knowing they felt at home and relaxed is everything.

Thank you so much Priya and family - you left the cottage absolutely spotless. You're welcome back anytime! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฌโœจ

Our iconic ๐๐ž๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž on the Newcastle promenade has officially been named the ๐–๐จ๐จ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”!

From finalist to national winner, our 150-year-old, wind-bent wonder right by the Tourist Info Centre has taken the crown. A massive thank you to everyone who supported the campaign and cast their votes - it really did make all the difference.

So proud of our wee town and this gorgeous local landmark. If you're staying with us or passing by anytime soon, make sure to pop down and give her a wee curtsey back - she's been bowing to Newcastle for over 150 years!
