Check out this incredible picture taken last night at around 10pm at Watergate Bay by Kernow Astro/Mark Hobbs.

In a very rare display, the Northern Lights were seen across southern England - more displays are expected during clear spells over the coming nights.

The Aurora Borealis is usually only visible in the UK from Scotland and parts of Northern England, but the Met Office have said that the sightings were made possible due to “a coronial hole high speed stream” which had combined with “a rather fast coronial mass ejection”.

Holywell beach is 15 min away by car or you can walk there from the foot path outside the flat and if lucky see some seals (often on Chick Island) on your way.
