Hi my name is Lee, and I am a former Royal Marines Commando. My wife and I used to own a holiday home which we let out though Airbnb and managed ourselves. So I know about all the problems and issues that can arise, normally at the most inconvenient times. Trying to find someone to carry out repairs, assist our guests, and be on hand to ensure the house was ready, when we were living so far from t

he property, was challenging. The ability to make one phone call to someone we could trust and rely on to get the job done, would have made things a lot easier. That is why I have set up the Holidayhome Handyman, to help homeowners who just need that someone they can trust. Just leave my business card with your guests and they can contact me directly to deal with any issues they may have, saving you the stress of trying to organise any problems. I charge by the hour for all the smaller jobs, and am able to provide written quotes for the more time consuming jobs that take a day or more. I offer a 10% discount for emergency service members, military personnel and nurses. Types of work you may require:

Relevant experience:
Used to run a painting and decorating business for many years, including small plumbing, tiling and other DIY and gardening jobs. Qualifications in chainsaw, (tree felling and crosscutting), and brushcutting, plus the use and repair of petrol and ride on lawn mowers.
4x4 and winch trained
HGV licence

Quick recap of the last week. Lots of digging! Clients garden wasn’t draining so wanted some chippings laid with some drain off holes. Another was a quick and affordable way to extend a drive. Great view from the office on a gutter and facia refit. Then a client wanted a door removed and the void covered. In the middle of all this was a lovely sopping wet afternoon spent clearing gutters and a downpipe. Coming up, another fallen fence repair, a shed rebuild, some external painting, a wooden garden shelter, and 100m of deck boards to be replaced. Things are picking up 🙏👍🏻
