I recently started giving blood again since pre covid 19. That name ‘Covid 19’ sounds like some kind of experiment 🔬👨‍⚕️ lol..

Blood out of a stone I hear someone saying 🤣

Did you know the human body has approximately 10 pints or around 5 litres of blood and when you donate blood they take around a pint from your body! 🩸

Blood is actually a remarkable living tissue and contains Red blood cells that carry oxygen.
White blood cells that fight infection.
Platelets that help blood clot.
Plasma (no not the tv) 🤣 it transports nutrients etc.

There are 4 main blood groups such as
A, B, AB and O.
The most common blood type is O positive because it’s especially valuable as it can be donated to any positive blood type!
The rarest blood type is AB Negative only about 1% of people have it.

Giving blood is a very safe and relatively quick procedure. Our bodies usually replenish the donated blood in about 3 weeks.

There is always a demand for blood donations so maybe give it a go, you could really help someone who needs it!

Plus you get a nice cuppa and a biscuit after ☕️ 🍪 😉
