🚜AYLIFFE RETIREMENT SALE REPORT🚜
Rendells Auctioneers are very pleased to report on a fantastic sale held at Higher Staplehill Farm, Newton Abbot, by the kind instructions of Roy and Sheelah Ayliffe and Family having sold their farm.
With over 370 lots of sundries and 60 lots of large machinery and Marteye lots, it was a true testament to the quality and upkeep of the genuine machinery on offer. The sale was supported by crowds of people who came to purchase and watch on a beautiful sunny day from 10am to the finish. The stars of the show were the two John Deere 6330’s, the 2010 model with only 3,660 hours and a loader sold to a sale topping £42,500 while the John Deere 6330 2008 model with 4,296 hours sold to £38,000, with both machines going to work on farms. The land Rover Defender TDCi hardtop with 65,621 miles sold to £23,200, while the McConnell PA53 2011 hedge trimmer with guard sold for £11,500, the McHale C470 silage straw feeder and bedder sold to £11,500 and the spearhead multi-cut topper sold to £5,500. 👨🏽🌾
🚜Trailers met a good trade with the Warwick Twin Axel 8-ton grain trailer selling to £3,400, the Warwick 5 flat bed belt trailer also selling to £3,400, the Warwick 5-ton tip 3-way trailer with hydraulic breaks sold for £2,950. There was a small number of introduced lots of big kit being an immaculate New Holland TL70 with only 5,825 hours on the clock met a strong trade reaching £18,250 while a McCormick CX95 4-wheel drive tractor with loader and only 3,180 hours sold to £17,850. Within the smaller items are the sundries; a single wagon wheel made £125, a butcher’s block made £100, a candy tile planter made £80, weights made £50-£60, a run of 15 4ft hurdles made £250 for the pallet, £200 and £190, while metal gate posts sold for £40, £36 and £34. Galvanized gates rose to over £120 each with others selling between £50 and £90. Piles of 4 sleepers made £55, telegraphs poles made £50 each and granite gate posts were in huge demand with a 4ft 6 granite post selling to £60, 7ft granite post to £180 and 6ft 6 granite post selling up to £180 while a granite roller measuring 5ft 6 sold for £120.00. 🪵
