You picked your agent because they said they had a huge database of buyers. Then your home went straight to Rightmove like everyone else's.
Here is what usually happens. The portal is always the path of least resistance - easier, faster and requiring no maintenance. Their databases get used when Rightmove does not deliver. So buyers on that list get a hurried call about a home that may or may not suit them, from an agent who needed a result yesterday.
On a good day buyers might get a heads-up the day before it goes live. By the time they have processed it, spoken to their solicitor and arranged a viewing - the property is already public. They are competing with everyone else. The head start lasted 24 hours.
