Planning & Listed Building Consent granted for the reconstruction of this former agricultural building to form a residential annexe. Whilst we initially sought retention of the building as a conversion, this did not accord with local policy, the Council supporting its demolition rather than change of use. Makes no sense to us either as it results in the loss of the building, however our client is happy as it is a simpler solution. At CLB Heritage we seek solutions to meet our client's needs. Sometimes we achieve our aims and other times we adapt to find compromise.

Plans to extend and remodell the shop, offices and entrance kiosk, along with the replacement of the Orchard House, have just been approved by the NYMNP. CLB Heritage stepped in to move this scheme forward after lengthy pre-application discussions and a previous failed application with Design4architecture. Well done to the Trustees of Helmsley Walled Garden for their hard work and patience.

Planning & Listed Building Consent APPROVED for Bridge House Hotel, Catterick.

We are so pleased to announce the approval of this application, which has been a long time in the planning process. We are all feeling the frustrations of planning delays and they are particularly frustrating when you have a derelict building like this which is so prominent in the local environment and its condition declining on a weekly basis. The building has been empty following a fire in 2013 and despite several interested parties with plans for its future, none until now have progressed to an approval, which is all credit to our client's tenacity. The change of use will see the creation of apartments and new build residential units; it will restore the Listed Building and bring about considerable environmental enhancement opposite the racecourse, which in itself has recently been transformed. Thank you to everyone we have worked with to achieve this positive outcome, we're super excited.
