The dark clouds go around us, but the prairie brown dusty fields, that should be green and thick tell the story of no rain.
All the animals on the farm are now on winter feed, the fire pit is heavily restricted in its use, and everything is tinder dry.

That’s harvest 2026 done. Now to clean Little Oaks from the dust and occasional ears of wheat.

Little Oaks has been full on, and heading into July with only a couple of days available. Sheep shearing and hay making.
Here’s to a good summer.

Today the next available is the 17th October.
I don’t even want to think about October please - we have a summer to do first. 😂
