They say “it’s never a good idea to work with animals or children…”
But, from 1st May, landlords don’t get to avoid either quite so easily.
These are just 2 of the major changes under the Renters’ Rights Act:
🛑 Blanket bans on pets won’t stack up
✋Neither will refusing tenants with children
🛑 Every application must be considered case by case and you must have a valid reason to refuse!
It’s no longer about preference, it’s about justification.
