🔧 A BIG JOB COMPLETED — BRINGING 52 YEARS OF WEAR & TEAR BACK UP TO STANDARD! 🔧
Another busy job completed by IGEN Property Solutions, with a whole list of repairs, improvements and replacements carried out throughout the property.
This one had a bit of everything, from small fixes that make everyday life easier to bigger installations:
🪜 Stairs
The carpet had come away from the stairs, so I securely re-attached it to make everything safe and tidy again.
🚽 Toilet Roll Holder
After 52 years without one, the toilet roll holder finally got an upgrade! No more using the sink for storage. 😂
🚪 Lounge Door
The bottom hinge had pulled away from the frame, so I filled the damaged fixing holes, drilled new ones and refitted the door. It now opens and closes better than it did before.
🪵 Banister
The banister was loose from the wall, and the rail itself needed some attention too. I removed it, repaired the loose fixing holes and fitted stronger Fischer fixings with thicker screws to make it much more secure. It's going nowhere! 💪
🚰 Kitchen Tap
The existing tap was loose and stiff to use, so I fitted isolation valves and replaced it with a new, easy-to-use square-style tap chosen by the customer. It looks the part too!
💧 Waste Pipe
The external waste pipe had perished after years of sun exposure. I replaced it with black waste pipe to help it last longer and changed the route so the waste now flows straight into the drain instead of across the patio.
🚪 Bedroom Door
The bedroom door wouldn't close properly and, with family coming to stay, it needed sorting. I fitted a new handle, barrel and striker plate, leaving the door closing properly with no wobble — ready for a much better night's sleep. 😴
🧊 Fridge & Freezer Replacement
The old under-counter fridge and freezer had reached the end of their useful lives, with the freezer no longer being used properly. Both were removed and replaced with new Bosch under-counter appliances.
Both appliances were carefully levelled, and the fridge door hinge was moved so the doors open outwards. This means both appliances can now be used at the same time without one door getting in the way of the other.
🔨 Kitchen Cupboards & Drawers
Years of everyday use had left several cupboards and drawers loose, so I repaired and adjusted them all to get everything working properly again.
