We're expanding our Butterfield Business Park - starting work on a new, 85,000sq ft industrial and office building

The new building, being built by Readie Construction, will complete in summer 2023. will further enhance the offering at Butterfield - an 83-acre scheme in Luton with excellent transport links and a range of amenities including an innovation centre and a Hilton Garden Hotel

Butterfield is already home to a range of businesses, from start-ups and SMEs through to large companies including Eden Farm, with more than 155,000 sq. ft. of industrial space developed since
2020

Our colleague Adrian Schofield said: “It is great to see Butterfield
Business Park continuing to grow, with work starting on site with our latest building - we will be welcoming a new occupier once the new unit completes in summer 2023, attracting further inward investment.

"We have seen a lot of interest from businesses interested in relocating to Butterfield, which reflects the strength of the Luton market and the continued demand for high-quality, well-located space.”

Congratulations to our MD Ed Hutchinson who's been announced as the newly appointed Chair of LandAid in Yorkshire and Humber 🎉

Our colleagues Tom Wheldon and Sarah Gill have also taken on roles with the charity; Tom has joined the organisations Yorkshire and Humber board while Sarah, of our Leeds team, has become a LandAid ambassador.

LandAid is the property industry's charity, with a vision to end to youth homelessness in the UK.

Speaking of his appointment Ed said “LandAid is a fantastic charity that is doing brilliant work across the country in tackling youth homelessness - sadly more than 121,000 young people approached their local council for housing support last year and, given economic turmoil impacting the country, that figure is unfortunately expected to grow.

“I’m pleased to be able to play a small part in helping LandAid to achieve its goals and I look forward to working with the team in Yorkshire to get the property industry on board and behind the cause.”

Announcement 📣

CAMA will move into a new 27,500 sq. ft. unit at our Airport Business Park Southend (ABPS).

We have secured planning permission for this new, 27,500 sq. ft. unit which will be purpose built for CAMA Assetstore, sustainability-focused storage and asset management facility specialising in the reuse of sets, props & costumes for film & TV.

Speaking of the news, CAMA's Managing Director
Michaele Apostolides said: "We are seeing a positive change in the film industry, with a commitment to the efficient reuse of sets, props and costumes. It is this passion for storage and reuse of production assets that is driving our development in Southend.

"We love East London and Essex so having a base here is an exciting opportunity for our independent business. We particularly look forward to launching our social value initiatives in the local area, where the community can also benefit from our reuse and repurposing service."

ABPS forms part of an ambitious new vision for Southend-on-Sea, a £150m investment to deliver high quality space and infrastructure.

We are delivering the scheme in partnership 🤝 with Southend-on-Sea City Council; our colleague Harry Bunbury, added: “ABPS is an important development, driving new inward investment and acting as a catalyst for growth and enterprise, attracting businesses of all sizes and in a range of sectors from start-ups through to large corporates."

Our colleagues in sponsored last week's Bristol Property Agent’s Association (BPAA) Quiz Night

Back after a two year pause, it was great to see so many people in attendance and to raise money towards Feeding Bristol - a hugely important charity in the city.

A big thank you to for organising and also to Charlie Kershaw of Burston Cook who was our excellent quiz master.
