💡 Looking After Our Historic Gas Lamps 💡

Did you know that the Park Estate has 227 gas street lights? 🕙 Each lamp contains a mechanical clock that controls when the gas turns on and off. These clocks need to be wound every two weeks, and their timings are adjusted throughout the year to account for changes in daylight hours. Remembering Bob Cullen and Victor Semmens

We are sorry to share the news that two members of The Park community, Bob Cullen and Victor Semmens, have recently passed away. Both made a significant contribution to the Estate and the wider area over many years. Bob Cullen was a long-standing resident who cared deeply about The Park, its history and its unique character. 🏃‍♀️ Robin Hood Half Marathon – Road Closures🏃‍♂️

To help keep runners and spectators safe, a number of roads will be closed to traffic on Sunday 27 September as part of the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

If you are likely to be affected and need to travel on the day, please plan your journey in advance. Where possible, we would also ask residents to consider moving their vehicle to a nearby street that is not affected by the road closures.

📢 Nottingham Castle Events This Weekend

Residents are advised that events will be taking place at Nottingham Castle this weekend. Noise monitoring will be undertaken throughout both events, with readings taken within The Park and on surrounding streets to ensure compliance with the venue's Premises Licence conditions. 🚨 Suspicious Activity Alert 🚨

Please be aware that two men entered the Works Yard on Tunnel Road today without authorisation. When challenged, they stated that they wanted to look at the equipment. They were immediately escorted from the yard by the maintenance team.
The incident has been reported to Nottinghamshire Police, who have advised that the local beat team will be made aware.
We have CCTV images of the individuals involved. The two men who entered the yard were wearing shorts and T-shirts. A third individual remained with a white van nearby and was wearing orange high-visibility clothing. Unfortunately, we do not have the vehicle registration number.
The maintenance team also noticed the van around the Estate during the day, so please remain vigilant.

If you see the vehicle or witness any suspicious activity, please report it to Nottinghamshire Police via 101 and, where possible, make a note of the vehicle registration number. Any information that may assist with identifying the vehicle or individuals involved would be greatly appreciated.

🌳 More tree care around the Estate 🌳

Following on from our recent update about Treegators, the onsite Mitie team have also been busy topping up tree pits around the Estate with mulch. Whenever works are carried out on the Estate, suitable green waste is chipped and reused as mulch. This is then added to tree pits where conditions allow. Not all pits are suitable, but it will be installed on as many as possible....
