⚡️ If you’ve been meaning to look at your energy bills, now could be a very good time.

With Martin Lewis reporting today that the energy price cap could rise by around 18% in January, it’s definitely worth looking at your options sooner rather than later.

And this isn’t just for people on a variable tariff.

If you’re currently on a fixed rate that’s due to end in the next six months, it could still be really worthwhile having a look now and understanding what your options are.

My job is simply to help people. There’s no hard sell, no pressure and no obligation to change anything. I’ll look at what you’re paying, what you’re currently on and whether there’s anything that could put you in a better position.

Sadly, so many people are feeling really vulnerable financially at the moment, and energy bills are a huge worry for many households. Sometimes just knowing what your options are can make a big difference.

I know… energy bills are not exactly thrilling content 😂⚡️

Nobody’s sitting there on a Tuesday night thinking, “Do you know what would really make my evening? A good look at my gas tariff.”

But boring doesn’t mean unimportant.

Energy is one of those bills that just quietly disappears out of the bank every month, and unless something suddenly looks wrong, most people don’t give it much thought.

The problem is, prices are moving again.

So if you’re on a variable tariff, or your fixed deal is due to end in the next few months, it really is worth checking what your options are now.

I’m not saying everyone should switch.

I’m not saying everyone should fix.

I’m just saying, have a look.

Because sometimes staying exactly where you are is the best option — but it’s much nicer knowing that for certain rather than just hoping 😂

⚡️ Another energy price increase confirmed…

Ofgem has announced that the energy price cap will rise by another 4% from 1st October.

This comes right after the 13% increase we saw in July, and current market forecasts suggest we could see yet another rise in January. 😬

For an average household, October’s increase adds roughly £60 a year to bills.

Why act now instead of waiting?

The Price Cap Lags: Ofgem sets the cap based on past wholesale costs.

Fixed Deals Move Faster: Fixed tariffs react immediately based on future energy expectations.

Waiting until January to see what happens means today’s competitive fixed rates may no longer be available.

Fixing isn't right for everyone, but knowing your options costs nothing.
