Not because I’m feeling fancy... because my pinky finger has officially left the group chat. 💅💀

After an unfortunate encounter with physics, gravity, and poor decision-making, I’ve managed to break my pinky. So if you see me around accommodation looking like I’m auditioning for a very low-budget medical drama, now you know why.

🌿✨ A little refresh can make a big difference! ✨🌿

We’ve swapped out the tired, dead plants for some vibrant new greenery, bringing a splash of colour and natural beauty to the entrance of Kaplan Living Nottingham. 🌸🪴

Who knew we had such green fingers? 😍 We had so much fun giving the space a fresh new look, and it’s been lovely to hear all the positive comments from passersby who’ve noticed the transformation too!

We think a welcoming entrance helps make our community feel even more like home. What do you think of the new look? 💚

☀️ This heatwave is certainly making itself at home! We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine and, for some of you, perhaps getting a little reminder of home. 🌍❤️

While you’re soaking up the warmer weather, please remember to look after yourselves and follow the latest guidance. Keep those water bottles topped up, seek out some shade when you can, and stay hydrated. 💧

Most importantly, don’t forget to treat yourself to an ice cream (or two… we won’t judge! 🍦😎)

Our wellbeing coordinators Mo & Elizabeth had such a great time chatting with you all while you brought your blank canvases to life — the creativity was seriously impressive! 🌈🖼️

Whether you painted, relaxed, or just came along for the good vibes, we loved having you there. Keep an eye out for more feel-good events coming your way soon 👀✨

Did you hear the fire alarm this afternoon? 🚨 Hard not to…

Shoutout to the few residents who did the right thing and evacuated 👏 — but for those who didn’t… come on, you definitely should have!

Our fire alarm is there for your safety, not as background noise. When you hear it, please leave the building immediately using your nearest exit and head to the assembly point opposite the main entrance, where our friendly fire wardens will be waiting to guide you.

We’ll always investigate and let you know as soon as it’s safe to return — but until then, staying inside is not an option.

Stay safe, take it seriously, and let’s all do our part 🔥

Today Tom and I popped over to to meet Gunnie & Paddy 🐾💛

They’re therapy dogs from and honestly… we’re still smiling! So cute, so calming, and exactly what every student needs during a busy week 🧘‍♀️✨

It was also lovely meeting Gillian and Karen, the founders of Dunromin— such inspiring people doing amazing work!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Gunnie & Paddy will come visit us at Kaplan Living soon to share their love and affectionate personalities with our residents 🐶💫
