Another valuable evening at Nottingham PIN 🏡

Continuous learning and surrounding yourself with experienced professionals are essential parts of any property journey.

We enjoyed a great evening at Nottingham PIN, where Raj Beri stepped in as host and speaker in Spike’s absence.

The first presentation came from regular mortgage expert Nick Hope, who shared the five most common mortgage mistakes property investors make. His practical advice on getting your “ducks in a row” reinforced the importance of preparation and having the right foundations in place before making a purchase.

Raj Beri then spoke about the power of mindset and the importance of creating systems that support long-term success. His message was clear: success isn't accidental—it comes from consistent action, supported by a clear process and pipeline.

Both sessions were a great reminder that meaningful progress in property comes from combining knowledge, preparation, and disciplined action.

Always grateful for opportunities to learn, network, and continue growing.

🚆 Property, people, and a little bit of local history.

Last week on 28th May, I travelled to Lincoln to attend another Property Investors Network meeting at 📍 The Bentley Hotel.

One of the things I enjoy most about my property journey is that it takes me to places I may never have otherwise explored. Before and after the meeting, I took time to walk around Lincoln, visit a local garden centre, explore the area around the train station, and appreciate some of the city's rich history.

Then it was time to learn.

A big thank you to Wayne Gray for providing an informative mortgage update and helping us understand the ever-changing finance landscape.

The evening's speakers were equally inspiring:

🏡 Reshma Thakore – Find Great Deals and Monetise Every One!
A fantastic session highlighting how opportunities can often be found where others aren't looking.

🏡 Sue Sims – Why Social Housing? The Benefits to You as a Property Investor
As someone passionate about helping people through property, I found this particularly insightful. It reinforced how property can create both financial returns and positive social impact.

Every meeting reminds me that property is about far more than buildings. It's about continuous learning, meaningful conversations, and finding ways to make a difference while building a legacy.

💬 Have you ever combined business, learning, and exploring a new place in one trip? I'd love to hear where your journey has taken you.

🏡 As we look ahead to June's Nottingham PIN meeting, I've been reflecting on the fantastic insights shared at the last event on 19th May 2026.

A huge thank you to the fantastic speakers:

✨ Dara Chen – How To Build Your Dream Team
A powerful reminder that property is very much a people business. Success often comes from surrounding yourself with the right professionals and building strong relationships.

✨ Mike Gregory – Creative Finance: The Tools, Not the Strategy
An insightful session demonstrating how understanding the available finance tools can help investors create opportunities in different market conditions.

Special thanks also to Nick Hope, our resident finance specialist, for another excellent market update, helping us stay informed and prepared as property investors.

And of course, thank you to the APEX Bridging Team for keeping us fuelled with their now-famous doughnuts during the break! 🍩

One of the things I value most about these meetings is the opportunity to keep learning. Every event leaves me with new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and connections that help me continue growing on my property journey.

I'm already looking forward to the June PIN meeting, where we'll be hearing from:

🎤 Raj Beri – High Cashflowing Rental Income Strategies
🎤 Nick Hope – The 5 Biggest Finance Mistakes Property Investors Make — And How to Avoid Them

Both topics couldn't be more relevant in today's market, and I'm excited to continue learning from experienced professionals who are willing to share their knowledge.

💬 Will you be attending the June Nottingham PIN meeting? I'd love to hear what property topic you're most interested in learning about this year.

Property should feel considered, not overwhelming.

After years of supporting people through complex situations, one thing became clear. When individuals feel informed and respected, decisions become easier and outcomes stronger.

That belief continues through my work in property today. Supporting sellers and investors with clarity, fairness, and a long-term mindset allows opportunities to grow naturally and sustainably.

If you believe property works best when people come first, we already share common ground.

Between the sun and showers, I’ve been viewing additional properties again. Three in a cluster of one street and all different ones a bungalow with a drive the other mid terrace and semi detached. Next step would be for me to check it on Property Filter before contacting estate agents.

If you or anyone you know is interested in knowing more about property investments and think that our vision is aligned with yours while looking for ways to get solid and meaningful returns on your investments, send me a message.📨

In 72 hours, this room will be full.

And it will be one of those evenings people talk about after.

Dan Hill is not someone who regularly speaks at events like this, which is exactly why this one matters. Add to that Nioni Kenny sharing how bridging finance works in real scenarios, and it becomes a very valuable room to be in.

With Spike Reddington hosting, you already know the standard and the atmosphere it brings.

As a pin helper, I’ve seen people walk into these events unsure and leave with clarity, direction, and the right connections.

Some will be in the room. Others will wish they had booked.

It is not just about learning more.
It is about knowing what to focus on next.

That is what makes evenings like this valuable.

Dan Hill will be sharing how he approaches deals and what is currently working in the Nottingham market, in a way that is practical and easy to follow.

Nioni Kenny will also walk through how bridging finance fits into real investment strategies, especially where people often get it wrong.

As a pin helper, I always enjoy seeing people leave with clearer thinking and ideas they can actually use.

Alongside that, you have the chance to connect with others over a relaxed coffee and conversation.

If property still feels a bit unclear, you are not alone.

What makes a difference is being in the right room with the right people.

As a pin helper, I’ve seen how these meetings help people simplify things and start making more confident decisions.

This month, Dan Hill will be sharing real insight into deals, strategy, and what is working right now, alongside Nioni Kenny, who will break down how bridging finance can support your approach.

With Spike Reddington hosting, it is always a welcoming space with good conversations and practical takeaways.

If you are curious or looking to take your next step, come along and see for yourself. See link below.
