You know a project has gone well when even the downstairs loo has character. 🚻

Warm colours, period details and just the right amount of drama, this space proves that the smallest rooms can often have the biggest personality.

From the vintage inspired artwork to the beautifully dressed window and bespoke cabinetry, every detail has been carefully considered.

Let's not forget the Brick herringbone flooring.

Between the statement wallpaper, antique washstand, marble detailing and that beautiful arched window, we'd forgive anyone for taking a moment to admire the surroundings.

We're currently carrying out restoration works above the Air Ambulance shop, alongside several other projects in the pipeline across Oakham High Street.

It's been a busy period for our restoration team, helping to preserve and revitalise some of Rutland's historic buildings.

Restoration requires a different approach to modern construction. Understanding traditional building methods, working with natural materials and selecting the right products are all essential to ensuring repairs are sympathetic to the original structure.

From lime-based materials and traditional craftsmanship to careful attention to period details, our aim is always to preserve the character of a building while ensuring it continues to serve future generations.

We're proud to be playing a part in maintaining Oakham's architectural heritage. 🏛️

The orangery at Bainton House is becoming one of those spaces you never want to leave ☀️

What makes projects like this so rewarding is the level of detail involved in making a new space feel completely at home within a historic property. 🏡

In the orangery, we have handcrafted timber windows and traditional glazing bars to the classical columns and roof lantern construction. Every element has been carefully considered to complement the character of this listed house.

It is a balance of craftsmanship, proportion and heritage detail, all coming together to create something that feels timeless.

As promised, a closer look at what has been taking shape in the workshop 🛠️

A new porch for a project in Egleton, built in timber with our signature curved detailing. Each piece has been shaped and fitted to sit naturally with the building, creating something that feels considered rather than added on.

It is this approach that gives our work its character, combining structure with the natural form of the timber 🌿

Next will be the cladding and thatched roof as this comes together.
