PROJECT UPDATE

2024 has got off to a flying start with 2 of the 5 flats so close to completion!

Flat 3 is just having its final coat of paint before the 2nd fix electrics and plumbing is done before the carpets are laid meaning the top 2 floors will be finished.

The ground floor is following closely behind with boarding started and due to be done by the end of this week.

The end is almost in sight.

Excellent work by all the lads involved who are headed up by Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction.

PROJECT UPDATE

This conversion is really starting to take shape now. The new electric supply was installed this week for the 5 flats and the scaffolding outside has been dropped revealing the huge difference to the external part of the building!

2 of the flats are now painted with 2nd fix electrics almost done and plumbing following in behind. The kitchens are coming next week for them and they'll really start to look the business then.

The guys at Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction. and team are pushing really hard to complete as much as possible before the Christmas break and they're doing an awesome job so far!

PROJECT UPDATE

Our current project converting an old shop/print workshop into 5 high spec apartments is really gathering speed now.

This week, the plasterers start on the top floor with first fix electrics and plumbing completed on 3 of the 5 flats now and the boarding is following closely behind.

All new velux windows are fitted and the new slates are going on as well. All new windows are also fitted on the upper floors which make the place look much better already.

Excellent work by all involved with the project being headed up by Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction.

We're hoping to have the first 2 or 3 ready for decorating in early January with the remaining apartments shortly after 💪.

WHAT A DAY!

Massive congratulations to the lads at Okehampton Golf Club for their victory today which clinched the Dartmoor League title for the 2nd year running.

PROJECT UPDATE

The lads at Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction. have been cracking on brilliantly with our latest conversion. This includes a complete strip out of the entire building including half the roof which has had the main frame replaced with over 850KG of steel (there is another half to go as well)!

The old shop front is off with a new front going on very soon and the stud walls are flying up on the outer walls of the building. New floor joists and flooring throughout mean this building is all but brand new apart from the party walls.

The is soon going to be 4 X 1-bed high end flats and a massive 2-bed flat on the middle floor, we can't wait to see it starting to take shape inside.

FA CUP COMES TO OKEHAMPTON

5th August is FA Cup day down at Simmons Park!

For the first time in the clubs history, we have been entered in to the FA Cup and our first game is on August 5th at home to Brixham AFC.

Come down and support the lads as they take on last years league winners with hopes to take 1 step closer to Wembley Stadium! 👀

This will also be the first game since the huge amount of work undergone by volunteers down at the club over the last few weeks to vastly improve the facilities on offer.

We will be firing up the BBQ for the game as well with fresh food being cooked throughout the game.

This is a huge game for the club and for the town so we'd massively appreciate all of your support on the day.

PROJECT UPDATE

1 month on after getting the keys for this project Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction. and his lads haven't hung around with the rip out!

It's amazing some of the things you uncover when stripping a build back to it's bare bones. We've found a couple old fireplaces, old doorways through to the building next door and all sorts of other stuff.

The top floor of this building looks spectacular with the beams exposed and we are probably going to incorporate them in to the new flats on the top floor.

Top Tip for anyone carrying out projects like this...get the utility suppliers booked in asap. The lead times on new connections for water, gas and electric is crazy at the moment. Luckily we knew this might be the case and have them all lined up and ready to go when we need them to in a few weeks time.

DEAL COMPLETED 🤝

Today we finally completed on this beauty (no cheesy key pic, sorry)!

This one has taken a long time to get over the line but after a few last minute crossing of T's and dotting I's we can finally say we are the proud owners.

It's currently a former shop/workshop on the ground floor, office space on the 1st floor and a 2-bed flat on the 2nd floor which is in much need of some TLC.

We can't wait to work alongside Dale Chadwick Carpentry & Construction. and his lads on this with the plan to turn it in to 4 high end flats (2 1-beds and 2 2-beds).
