Gortin Glen Glamping is a privately owned family business situated in Co Tyrone. Nestled on the fringes of one of the best forest parks in Ireland, Gortin Glen Glamping is rapidly emerging as one of the must-visit holiday destinations. The self-catering pods offer guests an exceptional short-break experience in the heart of the Sperrin Mountains yet are only a short drive away from Omagh (7 miles) and Gortin (3 miles) making them very accessible for travellers from all parts. Furnished to the highest standard, all pods sleep four adults or 2 adults and 3 children, with a comfortable double bed and large sofa bed. Each pod has gas central heating with ensuite bathroom, smart TV, fully equipped kitchen with two ring gas cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, crockery and cooking utensils. It is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day with friends and family. It is complete with a wood burning stove, seating, fully fitted kitchen with 2 gas cookers and even board games for those rainy days around the fire. With guests assured of all the comforts of home inside, once they step outside they are set to be wowed by magical views across the Sperrins and can enjoy spectacular sunsets in front of their own fire pit and BBQ. And to top it off, you can relax in your own private Jacuzzi hot tub and let all the worries and stresses of daily life soak away under the open sky. Gortin Glen Glamping is the perfect staycation venue for everyone. If you fancy a brisk hike in the hills, a challenging spin on the nearby bike trail or a leisurely walk amongst nature, the pods are within a stone’s throw of the glorious Gortin Glen forest park and its miles of nature trails, family play zone and the Gortin lakes. No pets are permitted.

Since opening in 2022, Gortin Glen Glamping has grown from an idea into an award-winning tourism business, welcoming guests from across Ireland, the UK and beyond.

What makes this nomination particularly special is that family isn’t just part of Gortin Glen Glamping – it is Gortin Glen Glamping.

From the initial construction of the site and ongoing maintenance, to housekeeping, guest services and marketing, every aspect of the business is driven by our family. It truly is a family effort, with everyone playing their part, including our young grandchildren, who love nothing more than helping out around the site.

Over the years, countless hours of hard work, dedication and teamwork have gone into creating the experience our guests enjoy today. That family approach extends to everything we do. We take great pride in the smallest details and work hard to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay. As a family-run business, this recognition means so much to us. What started as a dream has grown into something truly special thanks to the incredible support of our family, friends, guests, local community, and everyone who has chosen to stay with us over the years.

What makes these nominations even more meaningful is that Gortin Glen Glamping has always been about more than accommodation. We are passionate about creating memorable experiences for families, supporting local tourism, working with local businesses, and providing a place where guests can switch off, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories together.

Over the years, we have welcomed guests from across Ireland, the UK and further a field to the Gortin Glens. Many return year after year, bringing friends and family with them, and some have become familiar faces and friends along the way. One of Gortin Glen Glamping’s most regular visitor 🦌

This little deer stopped by again earlier today and was happy for me to walk alongside it for a while!

Many of our guests were lucky enough to spot it during the summer holidays, making their stay even more special. Moments like these are just one of the reasons we love being surrounded by nature at Gortin Glen Glamping.

The little paths around our forest area on site are the perfect place for a gentle stroll through the trees, where you can switch off, soak up the peaceful surroundings, and discover the wildlife and nature that call Gortin Glen Glamping home!

As we welcome September, the summer glamping season has officially come to an end!

What a summer it has been! We were incredibly lucky to enjoy plenty of sunshine throughout the season, and when the rain did make an appearance, it certainly didn’t stop our guests from enjoying the hot tubs! ☀️ ☔️

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who stayed with us at Gortin Glen Glamping this summer. It was certainly a busy one, and it was a pleasure to welcome so many new and returning guests throughout the season.

One of our favourite things about glamping is seeing happy memories being made, friendships forming, and guests arriving as strangers but leaving as friends ❤️

Thank you for choosing to spend your holidays with us and for your continued support. It truly means the world to our family business.
