🏠 We love to get a bit of liquid paint dpc membrane into our jobs 🖌️

Even in new builds there is a possibly that damp pe*******on could occur around door thresholds and floor level windows even with the specified polythene membranes and dpc’s fitted correctly in place as per design.
So we pay particular attention to these area’s by adding an additional seal between the inside and outside with liquid dpc before the floors go in to make sure we’ve eliminated that risk in these areas 🪟🚪

We also black jack the outside of the thresholds as well for added protection of penetrating damp, I know we’re mad but we believe this attention to detail below ground level is well worth doing even though it can’t be seen when the jobs finished 😊
neither can the damp! 🤗

🏠 Ah we love a bit of air tightness 🤗 tapes, paints, membranes etc
Seeing as most air leakage occurs around windows, doors and ceiling junctions we seal between frame and wall before plastering with airtight tape or paint in order to minimise that risk in these areas 🪟🚪
Same principle goes for ceiling and floor junctions

• This goes along way towards lower energy costs

• It increases the air quality when accompanied with an MVHR system for controlled ventilation

• Leaves for a healthier environment within the home
