The Bryn y Pys Website has a News article about the recent logging on The Argoed Lane. The original saw mill used to be at the old estate yard opposite St Mary’s Church.

In August 2025, 12 acres of woodland poplar were harvested for the timber trade along The Argoed. This was because many of the trees came down due to storm damage and others had reached maturity.
