đĄ The Rentersâ Rights BillâŚ
âŚLetâs break it down, whatâs changing? đĄ
-
Letâs nip those Chinese whispers in the bud, as new renters rights are coming in, lets clear up the confusion when it comes to what exactly is changing in the rentersâ rights bill and give landlords a better understanding of where they will stand when it comes into place.
-
Essentially, what we are looking at is..
Strengthening tenant protections, it introduces new responsibilities for landlords that cannot be ignored.
Section 21 is being abolished. This means landlords will no longer be able to evict tenants without providing a valid reason.
Tenants will have the flexibility to end the tenancy with two monthsâ notice, while landlords must have a legitimate reason to regain possession.
Time-sensitive response requirements will be enforced, with non-compliance leading to potential penalties.
