How can you create a good impression for buyers?

Here are four things you can do to make sure your viewings go well:

🏘️ Make it smell nice: When you live in a house you won’t notice if it has a pong. Make sure you open all your windows ahead of a viewing and if you smoke or have pets then invest in some diffusers to scatter about the place.

🏘️ Declutter: Lots of stuff just puts people off. Get rid of all your clutter and make things more minimal to allow the viewers to see themselves living there.

🏘️ Clean up: Make sure your property is clean and tidy. Don’t leave dirty plates in the sink or washing lying on the floor. And clean your oven as viewers always look there.

🏘️ Temperature control: You want to give potential buyers a good feeling as they wander round your home and one of the easiest ways of doing that is by making sure your home is at a comfortable temperature.

The Government receives around £1b a month in stamp duty and land tax payments (based on 2019 receipts) from property transactions which is a significant amount and the early thoughts amongst some key figures in our industry are intimating a strong likeliness that we will be one of the sectors that will be allowed to work again providing social distancing is adhered to. This is not confirmed but would appear logical at some point in the very near future.
