Here's a lovely review from Leanne, who recently stayed with us for 12 days on one of our fitness retreats with Jules.
'I was looking to book a fitness holiday to get me back into exercise and healthy eating. I looked at going to a bootcamp holiday but found they were far too expensive! So I decided I would find my own and emailed a few personal trainers local to me.
My intention was to book daily personal training sessions for two weeks. Jules replied to my request to say she would love to help, but it may be different to what I had planned. She had just moved to Lincolnshire and suggested I come and stay in her beautiful annexe for two weeks and she would prepare a fitness programme for the stay, including exercises on the beach.
This is exactly what I was looking for! The price was much more reasonable than the fitness camps I'd been looking at and the annexe was so much better than the shared accommodation the formal boot camps offered.
Before my stay we arranged a Teams meeting to discuss what I was looking to get out of it and for for Jules to get a better understanding of my current fitness level. She prepared a well thought out programme with daily training sessions (sometimes multiple sessions a day), making a real effort to include a variety of different activities to keep my interest. This included running along the beach, boxing, circuits, spinning, HIIT and Core.
Jules was wonderful. She pushed me hard, and was always positive and encouraging (even when I was tired and grumpy). She has a passion for fitness which rubs off on you. Not only did she tailor the training to suit my fitness level and needs, she was also able to adapt them throughout the session to either push me harder or offer an alterative where I was struggling.
She has followed up with me since I returned home, with friendly check- ins to make sure I'm on track with my fitness goals.
I would very much recommend Jules. She personally invests in you and wants you to succeed! Her sessions were fun, interesting and hard work. I feel much better for my stay with her and hope to continue my progress.
