Our first HMO is now marketed and I feel incredibly grateful that we have got to this point. I should be posting about how fabulously successful we are, but the truth is that the process has been challenging and I have questioned whether I am cut out for this property malarkey.

I could write an extremely long post about the trials and tribulations but I think there is one key takeaway for me. DUE DILLIGENCE.
Do it. On everyone involved but in particular Sourcing Agents, Project Managers and builders. When things go wrong, you’ll find that no one wants to take accountability and the reality is that the buck stops with you.

It’s certainly strengthened my resilience and taught me some valuable lessons.

I WILL come back bigger and better. Watch this space 🙌🏻

What reading goals have you set yourself this year?
We started the year on holiday so I had two very long flights enabling lots of audible “reading”. Now on jury service which is lots of waiting around, so I seem to be reading a book every few days!
