And here’s the rest of the upgrades (photos mostly nicked from the Sykes website): new flooring in the kitchen and family bathroom, a new range cooker, a 65” TV (not pictured) in case 50” wasn’t enough and *ta-dah* the upstairs cloakroom has become a wet room, so there’s now 2 showers in the property.

There’s just 2 weeks available til September (see Sykes website - 28 June and 12 July), Thorne fam can DM me for 10% off either week 🥰

Sneak peek the first. It never made sense to have white-painted floorboards in the porch, so that has been fixed and a sunken doormat makes it easier to open the front door ✅

I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some properly delicious apple juice from (find him on Insta) this week. I could really taste the crisp tart/sweet combination of heritage apples and it has ruined me for commercially produced juice.

We’re so lucky to have such fantastic producers in this area of Pembs. I highly recommend you visit John and fill your car boot with bottles to take home (but leave some for me, please!).

Fall in love with Pembrokeshire all over again on St Dynwen’s Day 🥰

Dwynwen was the prettiest of King Brychan Brycheiniog's 24 daughters. She fell in love with a local lad called Maelon Dafodrill, but King Brychan had already arranged for her to marry another prince. Maelon took the news badly, so the distraught Dwynwen fled to the woods to weep, and begged God to help her. She was visited by an angel who gave her a sweet potion to help her forget Maelon, which happened to turn him into a block of ice.

God then granted Dwynwen three wishes. Her first wish was that Maelon be thawed; her second wish was for God to help all true lovers; her third wish was that she would never marry. In gratitude, Dwynwen became a nun and set up a convent on Llanddwyn Island, a beautiful little spot on Anglesey. Her name means, 'she who leads a blessed life'.
