Latest Belle update!

Things are really starting to take shape now, all prepped and ready for the skimming to kick off this week.

New windows are in and it’s all coming together nicely.

We’ve also made a few last-minute tweaks… back to the drawing board (as these things often go!) and decided to move the toilet slightly in the downstairs bathroom.

Why? We’ve created an extra bit of space to house a washing machine and tumble dryer, giving us a little utility area and freeing up valuable space in the kitchen.

One step closer to the finish line! 👷‍♂️🛠️

🚧 Kitchen & Bathroom Update 🛁

Quick progress update at Belle

The kitchen has had a full rip-out — back to basics so we can start fresh.
It’s a clean slate ready for a proper transformation.

The bathroom just off the kitchen is staying in the same layout due to the age and setup of the house, but we’re adding more ventilation to help with condensation and make the space much more comfortable.🙌🏼

Nothing fancy, just solid, practical changes that’ll make a big difference.

Another big change at Belle has been in the dining room.

We’ve opened up the space by taking down part of the wall and adding doors that lead straight out to the garden,instantly making it feel brighter, more open, and so much more inviting.

Also removing the chimney breast.

We’ve also added ventilation throughout, which is absolutely essential in these older properties.

It’s all about creating a more comfortable, healthier living space that’s ready for modern life.👌

It’s coming together beautifully!🙏🏻

⚡We’ve hit another milestone at Belle, the first fix electrics are now in!

That means all the internal wiring is sorted and we can finally start looking at getting the plastering and skimming booked in.

This is the stage where it all starts feeling more like a home than a building site.

Bit by bit, we’re getting there.
Excited to keep pushing forward and bring this place to life!

More on project Belle!

I hope this post helps show the progress we’ve made. 😉

We now have an upstairs shower room and toilet.

It’s been completely reconfigured.

Now it’s in place, and it’s definitely going to add value.👌

It’s such an important feature, especially nowadays, having an upstairs bathroom really makes a difference in how a home functions.

The last couple of weeks have been a total mixed bag, and has definitely kept me out of trouble 🤣

🏚️ Cracked on with and making good progress at Flip Project Belle, which is shaping up nicely!

Managed to squeeze in some quality time with the Better Half (brownie points secured).😉

🕺 Also may or may not have been seen moving and shaking with Lionel Richie… All night long, obviously.🤣 although, the £17 pint nearly finished me🤣

Booked in a few viewings, keeping the wheels turning.

And wrapped it all up with some great meetings with potential investors, exciting things on the horizon.

📍Still covering Peterborough and surrounding areas for RICS Level 2 & 3 Surveys, as well as new build assessments.

Busy week on site!
I feel like my feet have not hit the ground!

We’re deep into the first fix phase, with electrical and plumbing works ongoing.

The stud work is being completed, and we’re working hard on insulation and improved ventilation to the loft space.

Windows and doors have already been ordered, and we’re also getting our new sign board ready to go!

Well last week was a busy one over at our flip project Belle!

We had the stairwell wall removed, a steel put in place in the loft to support the chimney breast, and then the breast taken out in the room below.

That was all done by Dave and Cam, a proper father and son team who really know what they’re doing.🙌🏼

We also got stuck into clearing loose plaster, broke into the existing drains ready for the 1st floor shower room, and I managed to fill an 8 yard skip at mine with what felt like a million tubs of soil and rubble. 😩🤣

Honestly, might turn it into a game, guess how many tubs it takes to fill a skip? 🤣 Bit like the sweets in a jar at the school fete!

Outside of the project, I played pickleball on Friday, absolutely love it and also had a round of golf on Saturday, and I’ve been smashing it at the gym. 💪🏼

It did get a little bit messy at the Canters reunion, but let’s not talk about that!🤪

All in all, it was a cracking week. This one’s looking full on too, but I’ll update you on that soon.
