🚧 WHEN THE ACCESS IS THAT BAD… EVEN THE ROAD SIGN STARTS DANCING 😂🕺💃

This month’s job was certainly an interesting one! The property was bang on a busy main road, so getting the Lutons positioned safely and everything loaded was a challenge in itself.

Luckily, the customer had this brilliant old road-style warning sign they’d found — except instead of road workers on it, it’s got two people dancing! 😂 Safe to say it came in handy and definitely got a few looks from passing traffic!

This time we were out in Northborough carrying out a full packing, removal & clearance service on a large 5-bedroom property.

Our customers had lived in the house for an incredible 38 years, so as you can imagine, there was plenty to carefully pack, sort and move.

THREE BUTLER SINKS & A SERIOUS AMOUNT OF STONE! 💪🚚

Another different one for the Gibbs team today!

We travelled from Peterborough all the way to Mundesley, Norfolk with 2 Luton vans and a 3-man team for this removal.

Among the load were three old Butler sinks, which you don’t come across too often these days, along with a large amount of rock and slate stone — and believe us, that stuff was seriously heavy! 😅💪

Plenty of careful lifting, plenty of weight in the vans, and another job completed safely by the team.

No two removals are ever the same, and that’s exactly how we like it! 🚚

😂 “THE VAN WILL FIT NO PROBLEM…”

That’s what the customer told us about the access anyway… 😂

Then we turned up to bushes either side and just about enough room to squeeze the Luton through 🌳🚚🌳

Luckily, we made it in without redecorating the van with half the garden 😂

🎵 Would I Lie To You? felt very appropriate for this one.

Moral of the story: if you’ve got tight access, always let your removal company know beforehand — a road that’s fine for a car can be a very different story in a Luton!

🚛 LONDON PRE-COLLECTION – KEEPING EVERYTHING SAFE & LEGAL 🚛

We’ve just been down to London today with one vehicle and a two-man team to collect some of the heavier items ahead of tomorrow’s main removal.

Today’s load included garden furniture, heavy plants/pots and a few boxes.

We knew some of the garden items were particularly heavy, so rather than risk putting too much weight on the vehicles tomorrow, we decided to make a separate trip and get the heavier bits moved first.

It’s all part of planning the job properly and making sure our vehicles stay within their legal weight limits while keeping the move running smoothly.

Back on the road to Peterborough now, ready to head back down tomorrow and complete the full removal. 💪🚛
