And another sponsored player man of the match ⚽️⚽️

Mintlaw 2010s kicked off their final home league game of the season in a local derby v Fraserburgh on grass at the Pavilion pitch.

Fraserburgh took the lead in 15 mins to go 1 v 0 up and stretched there lead to make it 2 v 0 at HT in a closely contested game.

Zak Rose scored from outside the box for the 2010s to pull it back to 2 v 1, Fraserburgh scored with 20 mins remaining to make it 3 v 1.

Codi Summers was then taken down in the box with 10 mins remaining and Brodie Walker kept up his fine form from the spot scoring his 4th penalty of the season to make it 3 v 2.

Fraserburgh put the game out of sight to make it 4 v 2 with minutes remaining.

A typical derby with both teams playing some good football and a good game to watch for all the spectators who showed up.

Some strong performances tonight from the 2010s, boys played with heart and passion against a very good Fraserburgh side.

MOTM today was Jackson Cross ( CMC Stays ) , who from the first whistle pressed the Fraserburgh back line and set the tone for the whole team to do the same.
A great performance from the Mintlaw forward.

It’s been a hectic but rewarding time lately, balancing the demands of running my serviced accommodation and cleaning businesses while stepping into a new community role as Vice Chairman of Mintlaw Boys Club. Between managing guests, maintenance, and bookings, I’ve also been helping shape the club’s future and support local youth football. On top of that, I’ve started a new adventure with an over 35s kick about, proving that the passion for the game never fades, no matter how busy life gets.

All this while still being present at home, caring for our growing collection of animals, and continuing to improve our country cottage.
