Last Friday, the King Welsh team, along with guests from Eco-Nexus Engineering Ltd, Dodd Group and Passive Fire Services Ltd, attended the TEC Construction Annual Winter Ball in aid of Luke's Hospice Plymouth.

A huge thank you to Paul Blight, Stuart Weddle, Joshua Musgrove and David Masters for joining us. It was a fantastic evening with a brilliant atmosphere, all in support of a great cause close to the heart of King Welsh.

A big thank you as well to TEC for hosting such a memorable event and for helping raise funds for an incredible charity.

The King Welsh team attended an insightful presentation this morning by Rebecca Morley of SwellRock Building Control, exploring how the Building Safety Act is reshaping the construction and regulatory landscape.

The session examined the evolving roles of duty holders, changes to the building control system, and the new application processes now in place. It offered valuable insight into how these reforms are influencing practice today — and what they mean for the future of the building control profession.

A great opportunity to learn, share ideas, and connect with fellow professionals from across the region.

The King Welsh Team had a fantastic time at the annual Services Design Solution Charity Quiz Night last week, all in support of the Ocean Conservation Trust ! It’s always a great night filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and raising funds for an incredible cause.

The King Welsh team is delighted to have been part in developing a design package for the refurbishment of three classrooms at the YMCA Discovery Centre!

Working in collaboration with Services Design Solutions (SDS), this project enhances the learning spaces with high-quality finishes and thoughtful design, ensuring a positive impact for students and staff alike.

We are especially proud to have offered our design services at no cost to this incredible charity.

His hard work, dedication, and passion for the industry has earnt him this well-deserved recognition.
