I have been asked to pass this statement on by the Police, please all be aware and vigilant within your property and out and about!
BURGLARIES
There has been an increase in the amount of burglaries that have occurred in the areas of Mutley, Greenbank, St. Judes and the City Center, in the last few weeks. It appears that the offender is targeting properties that have insecurities, where windows are left open and doors are left unlocked.
Simple Tips
• Keep all doors and windows shut and locked, don’t just rely on your house mate to do it!
• Make sure all valuables are out of view from opportunist thieves.
• Property mark your valuables using a UV pen and also record any serial numbers on www.immobilise.com
• Report any suspicious behavior to Police either on 999 in an emergency where the offender is at or has just left the address and 101 for a non-emergency situation
