In the last 24 hours there have been two reported burglaries in the Greenbank area where the offender has gained entry via insecure windows and doors, both of the victims to these burglaries have been students and the items stolen have been laptops and mobile phones. Top tips – SHUT IT and LOCK IT!! And REPORT ANY SUSCIPIOUS BEHAVIOUR TO POLICE!! Details of the incidents to follow regarding the burglary in Marlborough Road.

Police are investigating a BURGLARY where a DELL LAPTOP, HTC MOBILE PHONE and a PURSE containing bank cards and cash were stolen from a property in MARLBOROUGH ROAD in GREENBANK. This took place 1905 and 1914 hours on FRIDAY 1st NOVEMBER 2013. The offender is believed to have gained entry via an insecure door. The occupants were actually in the property at the time but in a different room. Police ask if you have seen or heard anything relating to the crime to contact us on the general enquiries number 101 quoting crime reference number EC/13/10664
