Hill House is a cherished family property, built around 160 years ago for a master mariner - you can see why he chose this spot when you look at the views! Eight guests can stay very
comfortably here; with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a parking spot, huge sunny deck with river views and large garden, it has everything needed for a relaxing break. In the heart of Polruan’s peaceful conservation area, a short but steep walk leads down to the harbour, shop and pubs. National Trust land and AONB surround the village, so it is ideal for keen walkers, and a five minute ferry ride takes you to bustling Fowey, with its wonderful range of shops and restaurants. You really do have the best of both worlds within easy reach. Please note that the house features curving, steep stairs, so it may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm. Young children should be carefully supervised at all times. Downstairs:

Unusually for Polruan, Hill House boasts a lovely garden AND a parking space right next to the house! The parking space involves some skill and care (parking sensors are also a help), as it is accessed via a narrow steep lane and a three-point turn. It will accommodate a large SUV e.g. Discovery Sport. The garden is a joy, featuring a large deck with fantastic water views across to Fowey, where you can soak up the sun in complete privacy. The patio, with dining table and chairs, also features river views and there is a level lawn for playing games. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for children, although care should be taken on the steps between levels. Sorry, no dogs are allowed at Hill House. Pricing and availability:
Flexible changeovers and short breaks may be accommodated, depending on our housekeeper. We include logs in the winter and beach towels in the summer, as well as a welcome pack to get you started, bedding, bathroom towels, and all bills.
